Host Michael Barone has notified us that Pipedreams is now aired twice each weekend on WQXR-FM: Saturday from 6.00–7.00 am and Sunday from 11.00–midnight. Please note that on October 8, 2009, WQXR-FM moved from 96.3 on the FM dial to its new frequency, 105.9 mhz.

Mr. Barone also encourages organists who give programs in and around NYC (or within the broadcast range of WQXR) to include this announcement (or something similar) in their printed programs:

Enjoy organ music in its infinite variety each week on Pipedreams from American Public Media, heard Saturdays at 6 am and again on Sundays at 11 pm on Classical WQXR-105.9 FM, New York City. The New York City Organ Project
Documenting the Organs of New York City

A conservative estimate finds that over 5,000 organs have been installed in the five boroughs of New York City over the years! The NYC Organ Project pages contain information about organs—present and past—in the city's institutions, houses of worship, theatres and residences. There is a section for each borough of New York City. Compiling this information is an ongoing activity, and we ask for your assistance in providing information and photos. A venue webpage will be created when specifications for at least one of the venue's organs can be located. Please contact the webmaster if you can assist us.
