The Second Church of Christ, Scientist was founded in 1909 as the Christian Science Society of Dyker Heights. The first meetings were held in a rented building, and later in an edifice erected at 340 67th Street between Third and Fourth Avenues. The church is now located on Bay Ridge Parkway at 75th Street.
