Church of the Redeemer
Iglesia del Redentor

(Episcopal)

30-14 Crescent Street
Astoria (Queens), N.Y. 11102

The Protestant Episcopal Church of the Redeemer was organized on August 19, 1866. Two years later, in 1868, the congregation dedicated their church building. The plain Gothic edifice is constructed of ashlar granite and includes a square bell tower. It was not until 1879 that the building was free of debt and consecrated. Today, the building is shared with Iglesia del Redentor, an Hispanic congregation.
